Jessica Ennis wins two awards at BAWA

At the main social event of the track and field calendar in the UK – the British Athletics Writers Awards, Jessica Ennis was awarded not one but to of the main accolades.

The number one sponsor of UKA, Aviva resoundingly voted to award Jessica the best performance in a GB vest and she was then named female athlete of the year by the members of the British Athletics Writers.

“I am thrilled to be recognised by Aviva and also the British Athletics Writers for these awards – it has been quite a journey to become World Champion after my tough year in 2008, but both Aviva and the British Athletics Writers have always been there to support me and I thank you for that.”
